Ani is a Fellow Chartered Accountant and Corporate Treasurer (AMCT) and has worked both within industry and banking. He is currently an active entrepreneur operating in the Sub Saharan Africa and in particular Nigeria.
He is currently the principal and board executive of the LANI Group which comprises of investment holdings in diverse industry sectors such as learning and development (Axiom Learning Solutions) and Agro processing (Sehai Foods). As an active entrepreneur he is keen on extenuating the business interests of the LANI group across diverse but profitable sectors and jurisdictions.
Ani led a successful professional career prior to establishing his entrepreneur platform. His career trajectory includes corporate treasury, general finance, strategy and risk management roles in advertising, banking, FMCG, technology and energy sectors. Within those roles, he has lead and implement several diverse large scale projects such as the implementation of Pan European in-house Bank at Polo Ralph Lauren Europe where he served as group manager in 2003, he has also project manage and implemented technology programmes within in the banking sector including the IFRS Change implementation at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. In his entrepreneurial career he has also led and implemented several large scale change initiatives including teacher training programmes in Special Needs and Disabilities (SENDs).
He is an active entrepreneur and he’s also involve in social issues where he spearhead Child’s right issues, innovative financing for education, mentoring and self development. He directs social change initiatives under the auspices of LANI Foundation (the philanthropy arm of LANI Group), where he serves as a founding board trustee and also chairing a strategic partnership for the implementation of the 2015 Conference and project pipeline in conjunction with International Association for Scientific Study of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IASSID).
Ani earned a BSc in Accounting and Finance from the University of Hull and subsequently gained a Post Graduate Diploma in International Tax Law from the University of London. As a subject matter in treasury and risk management for Sub Saharan Africa he authored The Nigeria Country Guide in the International Treasurers Handbook and The Asia Treasurers Handbook published by the JP Morgan and the Association of Corporate Treasurers (UK) for several years. He is a frequent speaker at local and international events and conferences. He is an active advocate for social change.
